A dental appliance's price makes sense only with its purpose and included services. A bruxism guard, retainer and aligner serve different functions. Identify the device you need first, then compare total cost and possible coverage.
Prices and information that can actually be compared
| Use | Reference verified on 1 October 2026 | Point to check |
|---|---|---|
| Bruxism, MyoProtect | €90 listed | Offer, impression process and exact conditions |
| Tongue retraining, Myoforce | €50 listed | Standard model, indication and instructions |
| Retention after orthodontics | Quote required; freely set fees under the framework described by Ameli | Appliance, checks and replacement |
| Tooth alignment | Treatment quote | Duration, stages, follow-up and retention |
| Whitening or other uses | Specific offer or quote | Indication, associated product and follow-up |
These amounts are not a market price schedule. The two MyoForce prices concern different products. The guide to dental appliance types helps check the category before looking for the lowest price.
Bruxism: appliance alone or a practice procedure?
A standard offer, an appliance made from a home impression and a service in practice may include different services. Ask about manufacture, checks, shipping and replacement. The guide to bruxism guard prices and reimbursement presents a public practice-fee reference and comparison limitations.
MyoProtect at €90 is made from a home impression with a 3 mm dual-layer construction. No reimbursement is promised for this purchase.
Retention: a retainer price is not a year of care
Ameli publishes bases for retention years within eligible treatment, with age and prior-approval conditions. These rules do not establish coverage of every replacement or online purchase. Details appear in removable retainer prices.
If an appliance is lost or broken, call the practice before ordering a supposed equivalent. Current tooth position and the retention plan need checking.
Alignment, whitening and snoring: compare the entire treatment
For these uses, an isolated amount per appliance may conceal the number of devices, appointments or associated products. Request a complete quote and an explanation of what happens if adaptation is needed. MyoForce offers neither alignment treatment nor an apnoea appliance here.
A device bought for one use should not be repurposed for another simply because it resembles a dental tray.
Five questions before paying
- Which exact appliance and arch are included?
- What examination and follow-up are planned?
- What shipping or return charges apply?
- What does the offer provide if the appliance or impression is problematic?
- What coverage has your statutory or supplementary insurer confirmed in writing?
Prices and rules may change. Use the quote and offer conditions at the time of your decision, then request an out-of-pocket amount in euros.
Common questions
Is an expensive appliance necessarily better?
Price does not prove effectiveness. Compare features, indication and corresponding service.
Are all dental appliances reimbursed?
No. Procedure type, treatment conditions and your policy matter. A retail invoice alone does not establish entitlement.
What is the MyoForce retainer price?
No retainer price is announced until the product and its conditions are established.
