MyoProtect is a custom bruxism splint made from impressions of your teeth taken at home.
The MyoProtect model
- Two layers: a hard outer layer and a soft inner layer.
- 3 mm thickness.
- Made from dental impressions.
A protective role
A splint sits between the teeth during clenching or grinding. It does not guarantee that bruxism will stop. Studies do not establish a lasting reduction in this behaviour or an overall advantage of custom over prefabricated splints. These findings concern the appliances studied, not MyoProtect specifically.1, 2
